Yet more food porn….

by Max Brady

Yes, I know, I know, we’ve been very bad at posting later, but the run up to the dreaded ‘C’ word was a bit crazy, pitching etc, and the New Year has been a bit crazy…Happy New Year by the way if we haven’t seen you yet, and doesn’t it feel already like Spring is almost here, and the holidays were a long time ago?

But I am loving this. Great idea, great photography, fabulous script, fantastic voice over/singing and in keeping with the previous campaign of the “Kitchen Forager”. Love, love, love it. Almost…..I said almost….makes you want to start a diet and eat more veg! Keep your peepers peeled, we’re back, and will be posting details of work soon.

Winning!

by Max Brady

Around this time last year, we were knee deep in snow, and Simon Eustace fell off the stage when he went up to collect his Best Director Award at the Irish Music Television Awards. An interesting few weeks then while he hobbled around on crutches in the snow. This year, there is no snow, and he almost fell off the stage again….this time on his way up to collect his award for Best Live Music Video for the Minutes. So here is that winning video, warning, it has flashing images..But well done Simon, who still has his Movember mustache attached….

This is how you do it…

by Max Brady

Now, I know it’s been done before, but it’s not easy to take new, recently shot footage and put it into older existing footage, but us advertising folk love a challenge most of the time. But this is how to do it. Beautiful production, well thought out and planned, choreographed seamlessly, lit perfectly so that it all matches up, (very important), using the correct lenses, shutter angles, and angles, well directed cast……It all just works. Love it.

Soup!

by Max Brady

Lovely new piece of work from Charlie Paul, our table top, motion control, foodie and animation specialist director. It almost, but not quite, makes you glad to see the winter come and have a reason to eat soup for lunch. (I HATE winter, in case you didn’t know that, I’m a summer girl at heart really!)

Easy Rider.

by Max Brady

It’s been a while since we blogged anything, but we had a great excuse, we were busy organising Battle of the Bands for The Advertising Benevolent Society, (more on this soon, including video of the night). But we’re back with normal service.

We came across this spot from Ogilvy Cape Town. If you’ve ever ridden a motorbike, you’ll understand why we find it amusing. Though it is never a good idea to wear an open face helmet, (too many flies), the spot captures the reality of motorbiking perfectly. You need both hands, it’s more fun to go with a mate, even if that mate can’t go quite as fast as you, you can ‘hook’ up with other bikers, who may bike as a way of life, and may not necessarily welcome you into their breakfast club, (Laragh if you’re looking for a good breakfast place for bikers in Wicklow by the way), you can’t hear what the other person is saying, so you make up your own sign language, and don’t even get me started on what it’s like to ride pillion, with the fear of turning your head out into the wind too much, in case you break your damn neck….

Still though, great spot, and was probably great fun to make.
