Our Friends Electric @ Maxfilms is a directorial team made up of Rory Bresnihan and Feidhlimidh Woods.
Our Friends Electric bring a fresh new way of directing commercials that is founded on a collaborative creative approach, cost effectiveness, and making use of new digital technologies in the rapidly changing environment of production.

Rory and Feidhlimidh are highly skilled in visual effects, mixed medium, live-action, animation, motion graphics, dramatic and comic narrative, and digital troubleshooting.

All of these directing skills combine to provide you with a duo that are able to problem solve, push the idea, and deliver high end, unique, television commercials that are budget conscious.

Rory, with his background in animation has previously worked on many high profiled projects, including, Nick Park’s “A Chicken Run” and Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride”. He has a particular aptitude for humour and narrative, and is known for his ability to deliver believable character movement. He has recently been working more in the realm of live action, having directed six award winning shorts and new commercial campaigns.

Feidhlimidh has extensive experience as lead VFX supervisor and compositor at Brown Bag Films and has overseen a commercials department in two post-production facilities. More recently he has been directing live-action and visual FX commercials.

His experience of, and fluid use of new camera technologies, digital post production, practical VFX and hi-speed technologies, gives him the flexibility and knowledge to deliver high standards, while ensuring the budget is directed where it is supposed to be – on the screen.
