Nicely done.

by Max Brady

This is the second spot I’ve come across in less than a week for the more ’smooth’ effect of a closer shave. (Is the stubble look going out of fashion?)

I like this one better though, great production standards. I love the lighting, the use of slow motion, nice job! Feels very high end. So well done to BBDO Dusseldorf and Filmproduktion. (Is it these tough economic times that are making Gillette and Braun push guys into smooth chins again?, or did I miss something?) And doesn’t the baby bottomed smooth faced guy look just like Daniel Day Lewis when he smiles?

What Can I Say?

by Max Brady

This spot for Pfizer Advisory UK warns against the buying medicine on the internet. It came to the attention of the UK’s Ad Standards Authority after 64 people complained that it was ‘unduly distressing’ and ‘offensive’. Pfizer responded that it was inspired by the death of a woman in 2006 who took unregulated medicine purchased on the internet that contained rat poison. The complaints were dismissed, and the ad went ahead. But I have to say eeewwwww! eeeewwww! eeeeeeewwwwwww! =-O

Eye Candy!

by Max Brady

Yes, yes, I know, two posts in one day, but my God, this was just too damn funny! Thanks to Dara for alerting me to this! The ramping, the eye candy, the slow motion, the sheer damn kitchness of it! I love it, made me laugh out loud for the first time in ages! Watch out for the end line delivered by gorgeous guy!

Philips Carousel: Clowns Vs Cops

by Max Brady

In these recessionary times, lots of clients are hanging on to their money, or tightening up their budgets. And then along comes something like this spot for Philips.

Time slice, continuous tracking…… gorgeous! The planning and choreography that went into this! A producer’s wet dream so to speak! Love it!

Hamsters!

by Max Brady

Yes they are rodents! Yes you can see the compositing, just a little, or maybe that’s me, but man those hamster suits are good! Directed by Tarsem for David and Goliath of LA, posted by Framestore London, music by Goldfish.
